Cherry Picker

One of Lola's favorite spots in the backyard is sitting under the cherry tree for several reasons.

First is that she LOVES the cherries. She will pull them right off the tree and eat her heart's content. She also loves to eat the leaves off of our pumpkin plants, tomato plants and my herb garden.

Second is that she lays in wait for the birds that come to take her cherries. She will sit under the tree and wait for them to come for the cherries and then take off after them. She has gotten one already - she caught it and then left it there for us to pick up (much to Luke's dismay who had to shovel it up).




She came inside tonight and had us in a frenzy because we thought her paw was bleeding pretty badly - nope, it was just "smooshed" cherries from her time under the cherry tree.
