Colby's class does journal entries each day. They put them together and bring them home every month or so. I LOVE reading his entries. They are one or two sentences long and are usually followed with a picture. This particular journal entry was done for us parents to show us their numbers skills and tell us something "exciting" they did one night a couple days ago when this was prepared.
My favorite is the first line "I did nuthen." The second line is a little harder to read, but still funny. "It wu borin" It was boring. Nice Colby. I am bursting with pride!

Luke on the other hand has started signing his name as Lito Norman. What the?! He had some story at the classroom that he wrote but it does not get to come home yet. It was about Barney (the purple dinosaur) dying. It has some jingle in it about how Barney died of stupidity. Apparently Luke was quite the funny guy in class with his story. Enough so that some friends of mine that have kids in his class knew of the story from their kids. I don't take any part in his "funny" gene. I put the full blame on Corey.
This is a poem Luke wrote about what Love Is.....

Man, that makes me miss teaching! Kids are so funny....I think that "Love is spying on my mom" is my personal favorite.
"Love is spying on my mom?!" that is so weird. You better watch out Liz. I can't wait for the dumb and dead Barney story - how strange to imagine Luke as the class clown. But what's the Lito thing about?
And I'm thinking you and Colby are the same person in separate bodies - always telling it like it is.
Spying on my mom - is a bit questionable. As for the nickname thing, he also has titled himself Billy Bob Joe Junior the 3rd. Either are such great options.
I can hardly wait until YOU get a note on your pillow from one of the boys that says something about how mean and rotten you are as a mom and they wish they were in another family!! :)
Wow! What a great sense of knowledge and understanding Luke has. Love truly is A&M. Too bad he a blue wall with a BIG "Y" on it. Maybe his dad and uncle can convince him to change it...
