Tired of Traveling!

So I am tired and we just got back from being gone for a week so I will keep it short now and expand later. This picture sums up half of the story of traveling with Colby, the other half of the story would entail him sprawled out on the floor of the van snoring. Luke kept his head down and focused on the Playstation. This picture is around 10pm and are leg into St. George. Colby is such a Smurf.

Thank You Thank You!

I must say I had a very good birthday. It was a three day celebration, the best kind, and best of all I had 5 meals in my honor! Sweet. It started with my good friends Marnie and Kim taking me out for a super yummy lunch on Friday at Olive Garden. Mom and Dad bought dinner for me and the boys at Bajio Friday night, then the boys and I went to go see Kung Fu Panda (super cute). Saturday started out a little rocky when I was manipulated into participating in the last parade for the Congressional campaign - I was not such a happy camper about that one, BUT I got lunch out of the deal at JCW's (the most fantastic burger place). I was bombarded with Happy Birthday singers and phone calls all day Saturday - I even got the "Key To The Door" song sung to me from Kevin, that is a rare treat. Saturday night Corey and I went out to our favorite sushi place, Happy Sumo, where I ate my weight in tempura veggies and panko chicken! Now it is Sunday and we are about to head to Mom's house for yet another meal in my honor - how great is that?! I have the coolest family and the best friends!

Life in Hi-Def

Luke figured out this year that the chalkboard should not be blurry. So we finally ordered him some glasses and this is his first day wearing them. I am sure they will take some time to get used to, but his comment when he first put them on was "Jeez, it's like everything is in Hi-Def".

Mean Old Mom!

I am trying to keep the boys in some form of school mode by having them do homework pages everyday. Got to keep Luke in learning mode and get Colby ready for Kindergarten where I have no doubt he will run that classroom -yikes. So studious.

We had Leo for a couple of hours today. I fully agree with nap time, for all ages. :-)

The Dog Days of Summer

The boys got out the blocks and went to town. These are their creations and they took the pictures. Colby's "ruff ruff" - he called it.

Luke taking the picture.

Luke built a colosseum. Pretty cool.

A smidge bit early.

I have the BEST HUSBAND EVER! This is my birthday present -I picked it out and Corey had it delivered to me. "Technically" my birthday is not until Saturday, but I don't mind at all starting the celeberation early! I have a slight candy addiction and this makes me smile just looking at it.
Thanks for the picuture Luke. Gumballs, Peanut M & M's & Reeses - can you get much better?

A little delayed...

I would like to give a shout out to the BEST DAD I have ever had! A cute one of Annie and Dad at our Father's Day lunch on Sunday.

My cute nephew Leo enjoying his Sunday lunch. Sqooshed Life cereal is the BEST! I think there is some mushy melon in there as well - a lucky lucky boy! Probably not as good as Aunt Lizzie's meatballs, huh bud?

Here you go Julie.

We have had many requests for more semi-regular posts, well really just one request from Julie. So here we are today. We are stuffing our faces at Wendy's waiting for our car to get it's oil changed at Jiffy Lube. The boys get 2 items off the "value menu". They are very predictable. Colby gets chicken nuggets with honey mustard and something with sugar in it - either a soda or a frosty. Luke on the other hand gets as much food for his money as possible. Here ordered two chicken wraps today and scarfed them down. We are going to be in BIG trouble when he gets to be a teenager. Man he can eat! Marnie - Colby has his Oregon Ducks shirt on AGAIN! You are a brainwasher.

Round 2

This is round two in our day of parades. This time we hit the Orem parade, which was bigger, longer and lots more people - did I mention it was longer? ugh. Tyler (neighbor friend), Luke and Colby waiting for the parade to start.

Tyler and Luke on the 4 wheeler. Jeez, smile Luke.

Yea Hannah! You go girl!

Hannah and the mascot for the Orem Owlz Baseball Team. She walked right up to him and put her arms out to give him hug.

Corey and Colby in action. We had to tell Colby NOT to use his "baseball throw" when throwing the candy. I am sure there are many a people that left the two parades with welts from Colby's candy throwing. oops, sorry.

Post Parade Celebration

It only took Colby 45 minutes before he started his "celebration". Good night little Cannon Dude. Did you notice Burrito the Buffalo?

Lukie watching some show on TV about people being eaten by animals. I guess it is educational. Mr. Smarty Pants.

Campaign Season -

It is campaign season which means Colby gets to be in as many parades as he could possibly want! He LOVES being in parades! This morning was the Springville parade which is a lot of fun because we get to walk along and throw candy to all of our friends. They had a bunch of 4 wheelers that you could ride on or walk along and throw taffy to the crowds.

Corey, Colby and Luke walking over to the "waiting area".

Luke and Colby waiting around for the parade to start. One of the guys in charge tried to convince us that he could teach Luke to drive the 4 wheeler and Luke could drive it through the parade. I DID NOT think it was such an optimal time to have Luke learn to drive a vehicle through a crowded place with little children running all around. Nice thought though - thanks.

We even got Leo involved in the action. He lasted all of 4 blocks before he fell asleep and missed the whole party. Where are his priorities?!

Grandma DeeDee with the stroller and Luke heading out.

Colby and his buddy Chance who was Colby's personal driver and mule. After the parade Chance carried Colby all the way back over to us on his shoulders. Nice guy.

AND... guess what? We "get" to go do the Orem parade this evening! WooHoo! I will give you a full update on that one later.

DeeDee, the boys and Kanab!

DeeDee took the boys for two days down to Kanab - it was Heaven for me, not so much for her. She gave the boys an allowance to buy themselves some things on the trip. Luke didn't spend a penny, Colby went right out and bought this buffalo because it looked sad and he wanted to make it happy. He has been carrying "Burrito the Buffalo" around with him since they got back. Nutty.

Two more cute pics of my handsome nephew!

Can you have too many cute pictures? I think not.

My sister Laura with her cutie pie son Haston.

The big boy on his big day!

Who can resist His Royal Cuteness?

Happy Birthday Big H!

I can hardly believe it was 1 year ago Haston was born! And I was there the WHOLE night! yea

Haston, my nephew, making his grand entrance! His dad Jeremy is holding him.

Why hello there sweet cheeks!

Such a big boy! And a handsome one.

Could he be any sweeter?

One LONG, but fun day!

Colby and Corey started out their day at a parade in Eagle Mountain @ 8:30am. Then we all met at the point of the mountain and headed to SLC with Frank and DeeDee. We all grabbed lunch at my favorite place, then went to a movie. Frank and DeeDee left and Corey, the boys and I headed off to a bunch of stores, a pool expo, dinner and then home around 9pm. The boys were amazing and we all had a great time! It seriously was a long day.

Colby with Optimus Prime at the Parade.

We went with DeeDee and Frank to go see a movie up in SLC. We are waiting for the movie "The Son of Rambow" to start.

Cobly is a stinker and waits for me to count to "3" and then throws his body out of the picture. I have to count to three and snap the photo on "1" just to trick him.

Lukie and I on the way back home. Corey is driving and Colby is, well....

Colby is crashed! He was SO out that he started sleep-talking really loud, then turned over and went back to snoring.

Vitus

This is an unbelievably cute movie called Vitus. It does have sub-titles, but if that doesn't bother you, than it is well worth your time. You can get it on DVD. Our whole family LOVED it!

The beauty of a web cam.

This kid keeps us in stitches! Seriously he sits there in front of the camera FOREVER and just keeps making little video's. This one is over 2 minutes - don't feel like you have to watch the whole thing.

We miss you.

Mandy, Oh Mandy. You came and you gave without taking......We had Mandy for as long as Colby has been alive - over 5 years. Last week she injured her spine and after 5 traumatizing and very sad days we had to put her to sleep. I tell you it was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. There were many tears at our house. This picture makes me terribly sad. She was a great friend.

I forgot.

I forgot Colby and his Seahorse. Of all the things he wanted a Seahorse?

3rd Grade Mother's Day Program

Luke's 3rd grade class did a dancing program for Mother's Day. They had been practicing for months with GIRLS learning the new dances to perform for us. It was always the big scandal of who danced with who! Aaah 3rd grade - how fun it was. Luke, Haydon & Michael

Luke and Lucee!
Cute Lucee was beet red!
Luke and Mrs. Taylor his AWESOME teacher!
