My superstar son WON hands down the 800 meter (2 times around the track). He took off like a gazelle and kept his lead the whole race! Colby and I were cheering our hearts out!
He then ran in the 400 and won his heat and with his time placed 3rd in the overall rankings for the 400 meter.
He was pooped but immensely pleased with himself. His shining moment was when they called his name down as the winner and handed him his certifciate in front of everyone.
He then had a soccer game that night which about killed him after a day of running in the sun - but he scored the one and only goal during a penalty kick and they won the game!
Long day, but a good one in Luke's book.
p.s. Colby was cheering wildly the whole day for his "bestest brother".
