HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUKIE!

We have been reminiscing all week where we were 10 years ago. What a crazy ride that one was. After weeks of hospitalization, surgery, and many many needles and med's for me , Luke decided to make his arrival 2 1/2 months early. Weighing in at a whopping 3lb 2 oz he was a chunk in the NICU where he spent 6 weeks learning to suck and swallow. His first feeding through his feeding tube was around 1 Tablespoon and we were ecstatic! When we finally got to bring him home he weighed 4 lbs 4 oz! I look back at that and wonder what the crazy doctors were thinking. Jeez. So like typical Rose fashion we celebrated by going out eat for his birthday today. We picked Luke up from school and took him to lunch at a diner down the road.

I don't know what the deal was with the ketchup or Luke's smile, but they are handsome none-the-less.

Colby LOVES breakfast for lunch/dinner and ordered a pancake. It came out and measured 12" in diameter. He made himself sick eating 1/3 of it, then passed it to Luke to work on it, then he passed it to Corey to finish it. After all, there are starving children in Ethiopia - right?

WE LOVE LUKIE!!
